Legion's Bridge - built Between 1898 to 1901. The Bridge Has Nine archs, archs over Island Shooting Have circular shape, elliptical Other ones are. After completion of ITS it was named myös Bridge of Francis I., and Even the Emperor Francis I. Himself visited the bridge for a walk. The next day there appeared in newspaper title "Prochazka na moste" Which means "Walk on the bridge." When the new Czechoslovakian was Established it was named after the United Legions. During the war in 1940-1945 it was Cream's Bridge Called, But The bridge's name Legion returned after end of ITS. In 1960 the bridge was renamed the Bridge of the first May, But after revolution in 1989 it was renamed for the last time back to the Legion's Bridge. | |
